OUR JOURNEY THROUGH THE YEARS
Early 2010's
Michael Wilson started PestControl Pro in 2012 after witnessing too many homeowners receive ineffective, cookie-cutter pest treatments. With a degree in entomology and experience working for major pest control companies, Michael knew there was a better way.
Starting with just two trucks and a commitment to personalized service, PestControl Pro quickly gained a reputation in Chicago for solving pest problems that other companies couldn't. Michael's philosophy was simple but revolutionary for the industry: inspect thoroughly, identify correctly, and treat precisely.
Mid 2010's
By 2015, PestControl Pro had expanded to 12 locations across the Midwest. The company invested heavily in technician training, developing a proprietary certification program that exceeded industry standards. This period also saw the introduction of our Four-Season Protection Plan™.
Our commitment to innovation led to the development of our EcoSmart™ treatment protocols, designed to effectively eliminate pests while minimizing environmental impact.
Late 2010's
The company's rapid growth continued as we expanded into 18 states by 2019. During this period, PestControl Pro acquired several respected regional pest control companies, carefully integrating their local expertise while introducing our elevated service standards.
This era also marked our commitment to technology, with the introduction of our customer portal and mobile app that allows customers to manage their service, receive real-time technician updates, and access their treatment history with a few taps.
2020's and Beyond
Today, PestControl Pro serves over 350,000 customers across 27 states with a team of more than 1,500 pest professionals. We've stayed true to our founding principle that effective pest control requires personalized attention, not one-size-fits-all treatments.
Looking forward, we're committed to continual innovation through our research partnerships with leading universities and our state-of-the-art Pest Innovation Lab in Atlanta.
